My daddy drove a Challenger. Man that guy was bad. My daddy drove a Challenger. Man that guy was bad. My daddy drove a big, bad Dodge and he drove the Sheriff mad. My daddy drove a Challenger, spitting fire down the road. My old man drove a Challenger, spitting fire down the road. They could never take his freedom, they could never take his soul. My daddy drove a Challenger. And his son is just the same. My daddy drove a Challenger. And his son is just the same. All it takes to make me happy is a Dodge and Gasoline.

People say i am long haired and worth nothing. People say i must change to be worth something. They say a guy like me is only causing pain. Longhaired bastards are nothing but a shame. People say i ́m on alcohol and drugs. People say only things that drive me nuts. They put a letter in my mail, saying: „You bastard, go to Jail! If you ́re not transsexual, than at least you ́re gay.“ Ain ́t it nice all that handsome guys Got nothing but dirt in their handsome minds ... People say i will die and burn in hell. People say they can ́t wait to hear me yell. Every jerk in town wants the lightning to strike me down. Then they go to church to pray another round ... Ain ́t it cool, i ́m such a fool Having sex with chicken in my swimming-pool! Oh ... good morning, Mrs Miller ... One week ago i took a knife and cut my hair. Bought me a tuxed now i ́m looking like a millionaire. I sold my car now i drive Mercedes-Benz. All that stupid bastards want to be my friends. I build my lives on lies, like anyone in town. Being a handsome guy can really drive you down. It ́s the price you got to pay, to be a good man every day. I ́m sooo glad that i got saved from staying long haired and nothing ..

I am a good man, i got a wonderful soul. I got a big heart, my love always keeps control I say: i am a good man, and i will never crawl again. I walked this path from dawn to sun down. I walked this path and i was your clown. You gave me too much pain. And i will never crawl again. I will never smell your feet again, after you smashed me to the ground. I ́m rising from the heat and pain. And the fire that burned me down. It was your fire, now you call my name, but i will never crawl again. I had a plan for my life. And you destroyed it all. I got such a wonderful wife, how many times should she see me fall? Falling on my knees to serve you? Forget it, i don ́t need you. I will never crawl again, i will never crawl again! I will never come back to say i ́m sorry for being a free man! You couldn ́t love me! You couldn ́t love me the way i am. You couldn ́t love me and i will never crawl again.

The devil wears lipstick ... and some fine italian shoes. The devil wears thick lips ... and he teached me how to play the blues. The devil comes with every face. To me, he was a lady. He never told me about the price, until he came on payday. The devil has a mother. And boy you ́re never good enough. She always wants another ... stupid guy to rip him off. The devil wants a man with tons of money. When she got him, she will whisper „you sweet honey!!“ After all and at the end. I have to say the fool was me. Long before she broke my heart, i could see she was not good for me. I ignored it, stayed until until i got the blues. People watch your back, the devil ́s on the lose! People hear my story. And what i have to say. I don ́t want you to worry ... about girls that wear lipstick every day. Some of them are wonderful, some of them are cool. This song is about cold hearted moneyhorny fools. Thank you Mr. Devil. You to teached me how to play the blues. Before the day i met you, i didn ́t knew how it feels to lose. I listened to the bluesmen, and played their music loud. Since i met you baby i know what they were talking about!

Bring me another whiskey. You ́re looking better when i ́m drunk. Bring me another whiskey. You ́re looking better when i ́m drunk. It ́s amazing how you change when i drink that bottle down. Give me another cigarette. Hope smoke makes you disappear. Give me another cigarette. Hope smoke makes you disappear. Oh yes, i ́m doing fine. Why the hell are you still here? Bring me 40 cups of coffee. I wanna stay awake until you leave. Bring me 40 cups of coffee. I wanna stay awake until you leave. Lord i don ́t wanna fall asleep, standing close to such a thief. The rooster called his nephew, said „I got a brand new wife.“ Yeah the rooster called his nephew, said „I got a brand new wife.“ If you ever try to lay her down, man i take your frigging life. My grandpa called your grandma, called your grandma in the kitchen. My grandpa called your grandma, called your grandma in the kitchen. Said: „That girl, that calls you grandma ... only thing she does is bitchen.“ Sold my phone five days ago. Sold my phone to not hear you. Sold my phone five days ago. Sold my phone to not hear you. Sold my phone five days ago and the god damned mailbox, too.

Once i lived in a beautiful town. With a wonderful neighborhood. Next to my house lived a black guy. Man that guy was good. Little Joey, my landlords son fell in love with his young girl. So he spoke what he learned from his friends, about black people in this world. He asked the black guy about baseball and golden necklaces and rings. He told him that he loves the Blues and Gospel was his thing. It was a funny thing to watch it, even it was not true. Joey just tried to impress him, so the black guy told him what to do. He said: Buddy ... People wear different colors. So black is what i am. But i ́m not your brother in the hood, i ́m Mr. Daniels. If you want to be my friend, then just call me Sam. But please stop to emulate a man that i not am. Sam showed him his records. It was more than Hip Hop and Rap. Sam was a fan of Mozart and he loved Johnny Cash. Little Joeys World turned upside down, but he learned what is right: You can ́t judge a book by its cover. Life is more than black and white. He said: I am white, you are black. That just how it is. You ́re not „Sam Funky in da house“, you ́re Mr. Daniels. I ́m proud to be your friend, so i just call you Sam. I don ́t have to emulate a man that i not am. Joey became a respected man. He got strong and he played fair. His name was shining at the shields of record-stores everywhere. He sold country records to black guys, and hip hop to the white. He got married with Sams daughter. Still he plays baseball great :-) I say: Some are white, some are black, some are yellow or red. And we all share the same dreams, when we ́re sleeping in our beds. Gone are the days when we saw the world on our tv ́s in black in white. Thank god for all the colors. They bring richness into our days. Colors are made for painters, if you want to make it right: Paint your life in every color. And your days will be rich and great!

I can ́t call the cops. They say it ́s not a crime. When people say words that hurt me. When they ́re cheating, when they ́re lying. Sometimes it is hard, to go on and not give up. Some bad guys are running free, and i can ́t call the cops. I can ́t call the cops. Being braindead is allowed. Some people only cause trouble. When you kick their ass, they howl. Then they cry their heart out, until some good guy helps them stand up. When the last tear is dried, they want another fight and i can ́t call the cops. I can ́t call the cops. Oh lord how i wish i could. To make stupid people smart. To show them life is good. How can we dream about peace in the world, when we can ́t keep it in our neighborhood? How can we tell others to lay down their guns, when killing them feels so good? I can ́t call the cops. Lord knows its not their job. I got to be strong, keep on keeping on. Walk my way and never stop.

A house stood on fire, two children were locked in. Everybody cried for help, but nobody went in. A man came to the house, he ran through all the flames. He saved the kids, he saved their lives. He was a fireman. One week later, i saw that man again. He was riding on a motorbike, some guys looked down at him. All dressed up in black, he rode with wind and fire. The guys called him an underdog, i call them stupid liars! The truth is: God rides a Harley. When he needs a break. In moments when nobody cries and nobody needs help. There he finds the peace to do what no one else could do. Always ready to give his life away for people like me and you. The holy man said, god is in each of us. I never understood, what he meant. Then i saw God on a Harley. Since that day i understand. Some of them don ́t get paid for it, no money and no fame. The true heroes of each nation. So, who is there to blame? when i say: God rides a Harley. When he needs a break. In moments when nobody cries and nobody needs help. There he finds the peace to do what no one else could do. Always ready to give his life away for people like me and you. For all the people that got saved, this man means a lot. So i don ́t care if you blame me for calling a motorbiker god. Each piercing, each tattoo on his body tells a story Of a hero in our town, deserving respect and glory. Can you hear me??? God rides a Harley. When he needs a break. In moments when nobody cries and nobody needs help. There he finds the peace to do what no one else could do. Always ready to give his life away for people like me and you. God rides a Harley. He flys across the land. I saw heaven shining through his eyes as he held and pressed my hand. Narrator: So, all you guys out there ... The next time you ́re going to look down at one of that long haired bastards on their motorcycles: Think about it again. This could be the guy that saves your life one day!

I was standing at the crossroads. I was looking for a friend. I was standing at the crossroads. After my good days found an end. It was a cold and windy night. And i held a guitar in my hand. I was standing at the crossroads. There i told my god goodbye. He took my woman and the baby. All he did was make me cry. The moon and stars, they looked ashamed. As my curse rang in the sky. I was standing at the crossroads, there i cried in every tune. I was howling, i was shaking. And i blamed Jesus for my lose. All my love was in vain, and then someone called my name ... I saw a man, he stood on fire. A living torch in the night. But he was smiling and he was grinning. And he said „This night feels great! A little fire warms your soul. Ain ́t it a pleasure to meet ... you.“ He looked at me. With a mocking face. Watched my head and watched my shoes. Watched my guitar. Said „oh young boy .. Did some maker made you lose? Had to leave sweet home chicago? Or do you have some milkcow blues? Told him my story, he understood me. Before dawn he was my friend. He had a guitar, made of fire. 500 demons in his band. He said „Listen, Robert Johnson. I will take away your pain.“ So i am back. And i ́m singing. All the songs they play in hell. Watch out people. Watch my eyes. When i howl and when i yell. And when i play the blues. Unlike anybody else. Narrator: Robert Johnson became the first Grandmaster of the Blues. People that saw his shows were excited and scared of him. He inspired legions of musicians with his outstanding guitarplaying, singing and songwriting. Robert Johnson died at the age of 27, long before he became a hero. The devil that he met that night is still on the lose ...

about

"Paradise regained" is taking the audience to a journey through live, love, losing and winning. On this journey, you will meet a lot of interesting characters. From the guy with his Dodge Challenger that drives the Sheriff mad to some other guy that breaks his chains and starts to life. "You couldn´t love me the way i am ... and i will never crawl again."

Watch the man, that meets his cheating ex-wife in a bar and tells her, that he sold his phone and the "god damned mailbox, too" to never ever hear from hear again. Will "40 cups of coffee" help him?

Same time, another place: A young white boy falls in love with the daughter of his black neighbor and tries to impress him, which leads the "Black guy in the neighborhood" to teach him a lesson about stereotypes and skin colors .

Breaking stereotypes is also part of "God rides a Harley", before we follow Robert Johnson on his way to meet the devil "At the crossroads". At the end, we realize that not only "Grandpa picked the Blues", we still do it. The sound has changed but the feel and emotion is still the same. And it is not about sadness but about heaving a heart. Life is not always easy when you got a heart that can be broken. But at the end, we all find our personal paradise.

"Paradise regained" is based on the Blues, but not a typical straight blues-album. Some songs are too rocking and one is too pop to be called Blues. At the end it is just music, emotions and storytelling. And ain´t that what the Blues has always been about?

Life has too many faces to put it in a box. And so is this album.

Enjoy your journey.
